Buddha Air, a private airline, has confirmed it will resume scheduled flights to the Indian city of Kolkata. The Kathmandu–Kolkata route will restart on 19 October (Kartik 2), with services operating three times a week.

The airline first introduced regular flights to Kolkata on 27 May 2019 (2076 BS), but the service was later suspended. Buddha Air has now set a new launch date and opened bookings. The one-way fare from Kathmandu to Kolkata is fixed at Rs 13,353 per passenger.

The journey time between Kathmandu and Kolkata is one hour and thirty minutes. According to the timetable, Buddha Air will fly on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Kolkata maintains strong business links with Nepal, and the resumption of flights is expected to further support commercial and travel ties between the two destinations.
