Namibia secured a hard-fought six-wicket victory against Nepal in the second match of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series 2025 at the Entebbe Cricket Ground. The match, affected by rain, saw Namibia chase down a revised target of 71 runs using the DLS method, with one ball to spare.

Namibia’s Bowling Dominance Restricts Nepal to 92

Nepal, opting to bat first after captain Indu Barma won the toss, struggled against Namibia’s disciplined bowling attack. Wilka Mwatile (3/17) and Mekelaye Mwatile (3/12) dismantled Nepal’s batting lineup, ensuring they were bowled out for 92 runs in 20 overs. Despite resistance from a few batters, Nepal failed to build partnerships.

    Rain Alters Namibia’s Chase

Heavy showers disrupted the match, leading to a revised target of 71 runs in 15 overs for Namibia. They faced early pressure but managed to stay composed. Mekelaye Mwatile, proving her all-round skills, anchored the chase with 26 runs off 35 balls, guiding her team to victory in the penultimate delivery.
