Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah’s latest song, Nepal Haseko, has taken YouTube by storm. Released as a promotional track for the upcoming movie Laj Sharanam, the song quickly climbed to number two on YouTube Trending.
By 7:30 AM on Tuesday, Nepal Haseko reached the second spot on YouTube’s trending music list. Balen wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and performed the vocals and rap. The song envisions a developed Nepal while reflecting its current reality.
Other well-known artists, including Sara Khadgi, Manushi Poudel, and Krisha Khadka, contributed to the chorus. This is Balen Shah’s first song release since becoming the mayor of Nepal’s capital.
The film’s production team labeled Nepal Haseko a promotional song, which has increased anticipation for Laj Sharanam. A few days ago, the movie released another song, Herda Herda Ma, which has also gained attention.
The Sakkigoni team, known for their popular Nepali comedy TV series, created Laj Sharanam. Writers, actors, and the director from the show contributed to the film. Sitaram Kattel, popularly known as ‘Dhurmus,’ plays the lead role, and Kumar Kattel directed the film.
The movie features a stellar cast, including Arjun Ghimire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niraula, Priyanka Acharya, Bijay Baral, Mahesh Tripathi, Arpan Thapa, Renu Yogi, Bijay Lama, Mukunda Shrestha, and Mala Limbu.
JP Creations produced the film, with Nabin Shrestha as the producer. Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka are co-producers. Laj Sharanam will release on February 26, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri. With its impressive cast and Balen Shah’s trending song, the film is shaping up to be a highly anticipated release.
