Bagmati Province delivered a commanding performance to defeat Koshi Province by 131 runs in the Prime Minister’s Cup National Men’s One-Day Cricket Tournament. The match took place on Saturday at Deukhuri Cricket Ground in Lamahi, Dang.

Chasing a target of 241, Koshi Province struggled against Bagmati’s disciplined bowling attack and was bowled out for just 109 runs in 25.3 overs. Ais Bhattarai was the top scorer for Koshi with 37 runs, while Sujan Thapaliya contributed 25 and Firdosh Ansari added 24. However, the remaining batters failed to reach double figures, leading to Koshi’s downfall.

Bagmati’s bowling unit was spearheaded by Surya Tamang, who delivered a stellar performance, claiming five wickets for just 27 runs in nine overs. His precision and control dismantled Koshi’s batting order. Rijan Dhakal took three wickets, while Sakar Gajurel chipped in with two, ensuring Bagmati’s emphatic victory.

Koshi’s Bowling Struggles to Contain Bagmati’s Innings

Koshi Province’s bowling unit faced challenges in containing Bagmati’s batting momentum. Sujan Thapaliya and Prakash Karki took two wickets each, while Gyanendra Shrestha, Dipesh Kandel, and Firdosh Ansari managed to take one wicket each. However, the bowlers failed to apply sustained pressure, allowing Bagmati to reach a defendable total.

Points Table Update: Bagmati Moves to Sixth Place
