A new destination near Kathmandu is capturing the attention of adventure lovers. Forest Adventure Nepal, located in Panchamane, Tarakeshwar Municipality-3, is growing into a favorite weekend escape. Just 10 kilometers from the Ring Road along the Kakani Highway, it offers fun, nature, and excitement in one place.

The site opened around eight months ago and is already becoming popular. Activities like ziplining, rock climbing, bungee jumping, and a unique roller coaster attract both local and foreign visitors. With fresh air, green forests, and thrilling games, it’s ideal for people looking to relax and enjoy nature without going far from the city.

The place is managed by Alisha Dhakal, who also operates Banjungal Adventure. She said their goal is to connect people from the city with the beauty of nature. According to Dhakal, more people are visiting every week. Fridays and Saturdays are especially busy with Nepali tourists.

Forest Adventure Nepal is spread over 30 ropanis of private forest land. It offers zipline rides, a climbing wall, high rope games, obstacle trails, a kids’ adventure area, a treetop zipline, a giant swing, and Nepal’s first outdoor roller coaster experience.

This roller coaster is not powered like usual amusement park rides. Instead, an iron wheel runs along a fixed iron rod. Visitors walk along the rod while attached to a safety harness, giving them the feel of walking on air.

Visitors who want to stay longer can enjoy an overnight stay in one of 11 tents or in a restored traditional Nepali house. The house still has original items like old millstones, plows, and farming tools. This adds a cultural charm to the stay and gives guests a look into Nepal’s rural past.

The entire project took one year to build. Indian company Oxo Consultancy handled the design and engineering. The setup is safe and follows modern safety standards. Most activities are approved by the Department of Tourism. All guests are insured before joining any adventure activity.

Forest Adventure Nepal cost Rs. 60 million to develop. According to Dhakal, the site is not just a fun zone but a true adventure tourism destination. She believes it gives people a rare mix of fun and peace within a short drive from Kathmandu.

The destination is also helping to grow eco-tourism in Nepal. By offering clean natural surroundings, safety, and unique adventures, it draws people who want both thrill and calm. Unlike long drives to other adventure spots, this site offers fast access for those with busy schedules.

Forest Adventure Nepal stands out for its location, design, and concept. It allows families, young adults, and tourists to enjoy a day or weekend close to nature. With more people in the city looking for short trips, its popularity is expected to rise.
