Vadodara, known for its rich culture, has now achieved a major milestone in sports. A team of karate players from the city won nine medals at the 2nd International Shotokan Karate Championship held in Nepal. The event took place on May 24 and 25, 2025, and saw tough competition from several countries.

The team represented the Shotokan International Karate-Do Organization (India) and trained under the expert guidance of coach Mahesh Rawal and Renshi Shivam Rawal.

The gold medalists from Vadodara were:

    • Arav Singh

    • Malhar Gadkari

    • Harinakshi Yagnik

    • Riya Shah

    • Arya Sharaf

    • Mahesh Rawal

    The silver medalists included:

    • Aastha Choudhary

    • Akshat Modi

    • Chitra Shah

All nine players trained hard, practiced daily, and credited their success to their coaches and family support. Their dedication paid off and made the entire city proud.

Family members, mentors, and supporters celebrated the victory, calling it a big moment for Vadodara. This achievement also inspires other young athletes to work hard and aim for global success.

With this win, Vadodara karate medal winners have not just brought home medals — they’ve raised the bar for martial arts and sports in the region.
