Indian electric motorcycle brand Revolt Motors has officially entered the Nepali market. The company launched its first dealership in Kathmandu this week, marking a new chapter for electric two-wheelers in the country.

The dealership, located in the heart of the capital, is part of a partnership with MV Dugar Group, a well-known name in Nepal’s automobile sector. This collaboration aims to introduce smart, eco-friendly, and high-performance electric motorcycles suited to Nepal’s roads and daily travel needs.

Strategic Partnership with MV Dugar Group

Revolt’s entry into Nepal is powered by its tie-up with MV Dugar Group, which brings over 50 years of experience in the automobile industry. Known for its market expertise and trusted reputation, MV Dugar will help Revolt Motors reach customers across the country.

“With the launch of Revolt in Nepal, we aim to transform the two-wheeler market by offering cleaner, smarter, and more efficient options,” said a spokesperson from MV Dugar Group.

    Plans for Nationwide Expansion

After opening the first showroom in Kathmandu, Revolt Motors and MV Dugar Group are preparing for rapid growth. The companies plan to open 12 more dealerships in major cities over the next few months. These cities include:

    • Pokhara

    • Biratnagar

    • Nepalgunj

    • Butwal

    • Dhangadhi

Each dealership will offer dedicated service centers, trained EV technicians, and authentic spare parts to give customers a reliable and hassle-free experience.

    Electric Motorcycle Lineup in Nepal

Revolt Motors has introduced its full range of electric bikes in Nepal. The lineup features:

    • RV400 – The flagship model known for its smart features and performance.

    • RV400 BRZ – A sportier version with upgraded features.

    • RV1+ – A practical choice for city rides.

    • RV1 – A commuter-friendly electric bike.

    • RV BlazeX – A new high-powered model for tougher terrains.

    All these models come with:

    • Removable IP67-rated battery packs

    • Regenerative braking

    • Reverse assist

    • App-based smart features

These functions are especially useful for Nepal’s varied roads and changing weather conditions.

    Meeting Nepal’s Growing EV Demand

The arrival of Revolt Motors comes at a time when electric vehicles (EVs) are gaining popularity in Nepal. With rising fuel costs and increased awareness about pollution, many Nepalis are looking for cleaner, cost-effective travel options.

According to the Department of Customs, the import of electric two-wheelers in Nepal grew by over 50% in the past year. Kathmandu, being the busiest city, has seen the highest demand.

A Greener Future for Nepal’s Roads

Electric bikes like those from Revolt Motors produce zero emissions, making them ideal for Nepal’s push towards clean energy and environmental sustainability. The government has also introduced lower taxes and customs duties on EVs to encourage people to switch to electric vehicles.

Industry experts believe that Revolt’s entry will boost competition and improve electric mobility options in Nepal. “This is a big step for the EV market in Nepal. It gives people more choices and promotes a greener future,” said an automobile analyst in Kathmandu.
