According to the data released by commercial banks, Everest Bank Limited has secured the top position in terms of distributable earnings per share. By the end of the fourth quarter of the 2081/82 fiscal year, Everest Bank had achieved a distributable profit of NPR 38.27 per share.
In total, the 20 commercial banks collectively earned a net profit of NPR 71.50 billion during the fourth quarter of 2081/82, marking a 43.39% increase compared to NPR 49.86 billion in the previous year. Earnings per share have also shown strong performance across the sector.
Sanima Bank Limited ranked second with a distributable profit per share of NPR 20.47, followed by Standard Chartered Bank in third place with NPR 19.85, and Nabil Bank Limited in fourth with NPR 17.64.
Although Nepal Investment Mega Bank stood in second place in total net profit, it reported the lowest amount in terms of distributable earnings per share. During this period, four banks recorded negative distributable earnings per share.
