Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. These rates are used for currency exchange by banks, businesses, and individuals across the country. The central bank updates these numbers daily based on global currency trends.
According to today’s announcement, the buying rate of one US dollar is NPR 137.69, while the selling rate is NPR 138.29. The Euro is trading at NPR 159.29 for buying and NPR 159.99 for selling.
One British Pound Sterling is being bought at NPR 186.75 and sold at NPR 187.56. For the Swiss Franc, the buying rate is NPR 169.46 and the selling rate is NPR 170.20.
The Australian Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 90.02 and a selling rate of NPR 90.41. The Canadian Dollar stands at NPR 101.52 for buying and NPR 101.96 for selling. The Singapore Dollar is being traded at NPR 107.48 on the buying side and NPR 107.95 on the selling side.
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese Yen are being bought at NPR 9.52 and sold at NPR 9.56. One Chinese Yuan is priced at NPR 19.17 for buying and NPR 19.25 for selling.
The Indian Rupee is also widely used in Nepal. Its rate today is NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per 100 units.
The Saudi Arabian Riyal is available at NPR 36.70 for buying and NPR 36.86 for selling. The Qatari Riyal has a buying rate of NPR 37.78 and a selling rate of NPR 37.94. The UAE Dirham is priced at NPR 37.49 to buy and NPR 37.65 to sell.
Among other Middle Eastern currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 449.82 and a selling rate of NPR 451.78. The Bahraini Dinar trades at NPR 365.18 for buying and NPR 366.77 for selling. The Omani Riyal is valued at NPR 357.61 for buying and NPR 359.17 for selling.
In Southeast Asia, the Thai Baht is being traded at NPR 4.23 for buying and NPR 4.25 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit stands at NPR 32.43 and NPR 32.57, respectively, while the South Korean Won, measured per 100 units, is set at NPR 10.09 for buying and NPR 10.13 for selling.
Other currencies include the Hong Kong Dollar, with a buying rate of NPR 17.54 and a selling rate of NPR 17.62. The Swedish Krona trades at NPR 14.57 and NPR 14.63, while the Danish Krone has a buying rate of NPR 21.36 and a selling rate of NPR 21.45.
The central bank notes that these exchange rates may change at any time, based on market demand or policy shifts. All licensed banks and financial service providers in Nepal are expected to follow these rates for all currency-related transactions.
