Cricket fans are in for another treat as Nepal and Scotland prepare to face off once again in Match 77 of the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two 2023–27. The match will take place at the Forthill Cricket Ground in Dundee on Sunday, 8 June.

The two sides last met on 4 June, in what turned out to be one of the most dramatic games of the tournament. Nepal pulled off a stunning one-wicket win on the final ball of the match. That victory pushed them to seventh place in the league table.

In Match 75, Scotland batted first and posted a strong total of 296 runs. Charlie Tear led the charge with an impressive 80-run knock. Nepal’s Karan KC not only claimed two wickets during Scotland’s innings but also played a key role with the bat.

Chasing 297, Nepal faced trouble as they dropped to 272 for 8. But Karan KC stayed calm under pressure. His unbeaten 65 off just 41 balls turned the tide and sealed the win on the final delivery. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Despite the narrow loss, Scotland remain in fourth place on the league table. They have won 10 out of their 18 matches so far. Scotland’s George Munsey is in excellent form, leading the run-scoring chart with 703 runs in just 13 matches at an average of 54. His consistent performance continues to be a major asset for the team.

Another standout for Scotland is all-rounder Brandon McMullen. He has scored 609 runs and taken 28 wickets in 18 games, making him one of the top performers of the tournament so far.

Nepal, on the other hand, have been showing strong signs of progress. Their win over Scotland was a big morale booster. The team has relied on both experienced players and emerging talent to climb up the standings. With momentum on their side, Nepal will be eager to build on their last win.

The upcoming rematch offers both teams a fresh chance. For Nepal, it is a chance to keep their winning streak going and move further up the table. For Scotland, it is an opportunity to bounce back and stay firmly in the top half of the standings.

As the league progresses, every point matters. Both sides will likely enter the match with clear strategies and strong motivation. Given their last meeting’s excitement, fans can expect another closely fought contest on Sunday.
