The three-day Nepal Festival Delhi 2025 wrapped up on Sunday, bringing together crowds of visitors at the Nepal Embassy Grounds. From April 11 to 13, the event showcased the vibrant traditions, flavors, and business opportunities of Nepal. Organized by the Everest Chamber of Commerce and Industries in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal, the festival aimed to deepen cultural ties and boost economic cooperation between Nepal and India.

A Colorful Display of Nepalese Culture

The event took place at the Embassy of Nepal on Barakhamba Road and was open to the public daily from 10 AM to 9 PM. Themed “Bridging Trade, Industry & Culture,” the festival attracted hundreds of visitors over its three days.

It began on Friday with an opening ceremony that featured speeches from dignitaries and captivating cultural performances, setting a festive tone for the weekend. Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed folk dances, live music, fashion shows, and storytelling sessions that celebrated Nepal’s rich heritage.“Members of the Nepalese diaspora always look forward to this event. The traditional music and dances bring us closer to home,” said Srishti Limbu, a Nepalese student in Delhi.

    Showcasing Handicrafts and Heritage

The festival also served as a platform for Nepalese artisans, who displayed hand-carved woodworks, handwoven textiles, and cultural artifacts. These exhibits reflected Nepal’s long-standing traditions of craftsmanship and the country’s growing entrepreneurial spirit.

Visitors had the chance to meet artists and learn about the stories behind their creations, making the festival both an educational and immersive cultural experience.

A Platform for Trade and Industry

A major feature of the festival was the Business-to-Business (B2B) Trade and Industry Expo, designed to strengthen commercial ties between Nepal and India. The expo hosted:

    • Panel discussions on topics like sustainable tourism and emerging industries

    • Plenary sessions exploring future trends in Indo-Nepal trade and investment

    • Networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, startups, and business leaders

Experts and policymakers shared insights on building resilient partnerships and fostering long-term cooperation across sectors.

    Food Court Steals the Show

One of the most visited parts of the festival was the Nepalese food court, which brought the flavors of Kathmandu to Delhi. With chefs specially flown in from Nepal, the stalls served up:

    • Momos

    • Thukpa

    • Sel Roti

    • Aloo Achar

    • Yomari“I brought my whole family just so we could have a taste of authentic Nepalese cuisine,” said Satish Sharma, a resident of Delhi.

The aroma and taste of traditional dishes turned the food court into a hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

    Business Awards and Closing Ceremony

On the final day, the festival hosted a Business Awards Ceremony to honor individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to Indo-Nepal collaboration.

Winners were recognized for excellence in sectors such as tourism, trade, social enterprise, and cross-border innovation.

    Strengthening Bilateral Bonds

The Nepal Festival Delhi 2025 was not just a celebration of culture—it was a bridge of friendship, cooperation, and shared progress. By blending cultural showcases with serious business dialogues, the festival succeeded in presenting Nepal as a country rich in tradition and open to global partnerships.

The success of the event reflects the growing interest in Nepal’s tourism, food, and industry and reinforces the importance of regional cooperation between Nepal and India.
